Valentine's Day present ideas for 2021

Updated: Feb 5, 2021

We may still be in lockdown, but that's even more of a reason to celebrate your Galentine or Valentine this year. Check out my list of present ideas for some last-minute inspiration.

Home restaurant kits are becoming a BIG trend during lockdown. Whilst it may be more effort than ordering a takeaway, it’s such a satisfying and fun way to eat restaurant food at home. We trialled a kit last week from Gunpowder which was utterly delicious. For G/V Day here are my top picks:

SPLURGE: Petersham Nurseries Dine at Home Boxes: £135 for 2

Everything about the Petersham Nurseries concept floats my boat. It's a heavenly emporium of beautiful design, gardens, flowers and food. The menus for this Dine at Home kit look mouth-wateringly good, I’ve got my eye on the fresh tagliatelle with artichoke, anchovy, chilli and garlic! Yum.

SAVE: Dishoom’s Bacon Naan Roll Kit: £40 for 2

Celebrating Valentine’s Day in the middle of lockdown is no fun, and especially on a Sunday! Rather than wait for an evening meal, you can brighten your Sunday morning with the legendary Dishooom breakfast. Now you get to enjoy this famous breakfast from the comfort of your own home (or bed) without enduring the infamous queue.

It's never been easier to buy flowers online, but it can sometimes be overwhelming to make the right choice. Whilst it's classic to opt for red roses, they are often overpriced, so I've picked out two more original choices.

The Real Flower Company - Pure Valentine's Day bouquet from £50

Simple and romantic, this decadent bunch includes scented roses and array of herbs including rosemary, mint and eucalyptus.

This bouquet packs a punch both in terms of looks and fragrance.

Next Valentine's Day bouquet £30

You might not be that familiar with Next's flower delivery service, but this bunch manages to capture the Valentine's mood perfectly and is incredibly good value for money.

Finding the right vessel for your blooms is just as important as selecting the right flowers. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make a statement and have some fun!

Anissa Kermiche Love Handles Vase £350

Cult Paris-born, London-based designer Anissa Kermiche launched her jewellery line in 2016. Her creations have since spanned from fine jewellery to ceramics like this cheeky Love Handles vase.

This vase combines female empowerment with a mischievous edge and would definitely be a talking point when you can finally welcome people back into your home.

Jonathan Adler Mr & Mrs Muse Mug £28

Jonathan Adler always has a playful take on interiors, and I love this Mr and Mrs Muse reversable mug. Great for a cuppa but it would also look wonderful with an arrangement of freshly cut muscari! If you can stretch the budget, buy multiple to scatter down the table!

When you gift a plant, you know the receiver will get enjoyment for longer...

Moth Orchid from Crocus £34.99

The flowers of this orchid may be small, but there are heaps of them. The overall effect is impressive.

It's a low maintenance orchid (can cope with being neglected) and yet it still pumps out flowers regardless.

Anyone lucky enough to be gifted this delicate orchid should be thrilled.

Sweetheart plant from Patch £6

This distinctive heart-shaped succulent will bring a smile to anyone’s face.

It is a tough little plant that will add interest and style and won't take up too much space.

Have a happy 14th Feb!
